1. Get Real.
Don’t have unrealistic expectations regarding your body. Love your body the way it is. Loving your body and accentuating your positive attributes is far more attractive than being a bad impression of what you wish you were. Get real, and wear a swimsuit that makes you look great now – just the way you are!

If there’s one thing that our American culture has going for it, it is a love for variety. And that is especially true when it comes to the way we eat (and shop). We don’t want just a box of plain instant Oatmeal, we want the variety box that includes cinnamon apple and maple syrup flavors too, regardless of whether we will actually eat all of the different flavors. Understanding this psychological love for variety, and putting it to work for us, can be a huge help when it comes to dropping pounds or shedding inches.

1. Keep on moving.
Nothing is better for your body than exercise, especially as you age. Not that you have to be a marathon runner for your entire life, but keeping your heart healthy by giving it a workout once in a while is a must. Usually 30 minutes of physical exercise is recommended daily. Keep in mind that this is a minimum. If your workplace has a wellness facility – use it.
